Sold — inspiration for commissions

Not a flat image. A living surface that changes with daylight and rewards a closer look.

TECHNIQUE · MATTER · LIGHT

Why is a TEALDOT
painting different?

TEALDOT paintings are distinguished by very thick impasto, giving the surface a pronounced, almost relief-like structure. The work can be experienced not only visually — its raised areas, recesses and the direction of the paint remain clearly perceptible.

The painting’s surface is protected with varnish that enhances colour and protects its textured finish.

Technical details

After drying, the painting receives at least three thin coats of aerosol varnish, with each coat allowed to dry before the next is applied.

The result functions simultaneously as a painting and a spatial object. Impasto is not merely a stylistic effect: it changes the way light, rhythm and the composition are perceived.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

More than
a painting.

The value comes from the material, time, authorship and limited availability — not from a decorative label.

01

Originality

Each original is a single, unique work. A later interpretation is always a separate painting.

02

Sculptural impasto

Thick layers of paint create a relief-like surface that changes with the light.

03

Time-intensive process

Composition, layered paint, drying and varnishing require time and careful craftsmanship.

04

Artist's signature

Every original and individually painted work is personally signed by Andrzej Sudoł — TEALDOT.

05

Certificate

Originals and hand-painted commissions receive a signed certificate identifying the work.

06

Safe packaging

Packaging protects the raised paint surface; shipments are insured to the work's value.

07

Consultation

A commission begins with a conversation about the subject, format, colours and required elements.

08

Limited availability

The number of originals and hand-finished works is restricted by the time-consuming process.

OPTIONAL FRAMING

A frame selected for the painting

A frame for an original, an original variation or a commissioned painting is supplied only at the customer’s express request. It is not included in the painting price. For a 120 × 80 cm work, the estimated cost is approximately PLN 800; the final price depends on the selected profile and is confirmed with the client before ordering.

A second, very similar painting made by hand is always described as an original variation — never as another original of the same work.

TEALDOT · CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY

ENQUIRY ABOUT A COMMISSION

Let’s talk about your painting

Questions before buying

Can you match a painting to my interior?

Yes. Describe the room, its colours and the intended location in the form. After we contact you, send reference photos by email. We will discuss the palette, size and composition before you approve the concept. Interior images on this site are illustrative visualisations, not photographs of completed client installations.

How does an artist’s variation differ from a reproduction?

An artist’s variation is a new hand-painted interpretation inspired by an earlier work. Its details and paint texture are unique; it is not an identical copy. A reproduction is a print of an image, not a new hand-painted original. State which option interests you so we can confirm the available format, finish and price.

What reference photo should I send for a portrait?

Choose a sharp, well-lit photo showing the face or animal clearly, preferably without beauty filters. Keep the original file rather than a screenshot. Describe your idea in the form; send photos by email after we contact you. The artist will confirm whether the materials are suitable before the concept is agreed.

Can you deliver a painting abroad?

We confirm delivery options individually for the destination country. Include the country and postal code in your enquiry so we can quote transport and insurance. For deliveries outside the EU, we also agree who covers customs duties and import taxes before you accept the offer.

Do I need a fully formed idea for a commission?

No. A memory, a favourite colour or a description of the room is enough to begin the conversation. Choose ‘Contact me’ and we will help clarify the subject, size and mood during the initial consultation. Painting starts only after you approve the concept.

How do I buy an available painting?

Open its page and select ‘Enquire about this painting’. We confirm availability, delivery, insurance and framing, then send a written offer with the total price and payment terms for your approval.

What does an original cost?

The presented originals in 80 × 120 cm or 120 × 80 cm format cost PLN 8,000 (approx. €1,850). The EUR amount is indicative; the final price and payment currency are confirmed in the individual offer. Standard delivery in Poland costs PLN 199. A frame is supplied only at the customer’s express request, at an additional cost of approximately PLN 800 for this format; its final price is confirmed before purchase.

When do you dispatch an available painting?

We agree the dispatch date during consultation. A ready original is normally dispatched within 3 working days after full payment, once safe transport is possible. Carrier delivery time is additional. International delivery is quoted individually.

Can I commission my own painting?

Yes. Use the commission enquiry form to describe a photo, memory or idea. The process includes a free initial consultation, a written offer, a 50% deposit and a concept with up to two rounds of feedback before painting. The balance is due after approval of the finished work, before dispatch.

How long does a commission take?

Painting time: up to 30 calendar days after concept approval, receipt of all materials and the deposit. Time awaiting the client’s response is excluded. This is not the dispatch deadline. Dispatch timing: the expected date is agreed in the written offer before the commission is accepted, allowing for the impasto to dry. Dispatch follows once the work is safe to transport, approved and fully paid for. Any change to the date is agreed with the client.

Does the painting come with a certificate and a frame?

Originals and hand-painted commissions receive a signed certificate of authenticity. Finished sides and hanging hardware allow display without a frame. Framing is supplied only at the customer’s express request, at an additional price agreed before purchase.

Can I order a variation of a sold work?

Subject to agreement with the artist, we can create a new hand-painted interpretation. Its details and impasto will differ from the earlier work. Contact us using the commission enquiry form.
