Sun on the Dark Side
Słońce po ciemnej stronie
About the painting
Contrasting light and darkness in raised paint texture. An original impasto oil painting on canvas, 80 × 120 cm, 2026.
Light does not erase darkness — it draws form from it. Dense impasto guides the eye through brightness, shadow and matter. Further traces of colour emerge from the darkness like fragments of landscape discovered only after a moment. The relief-like surface holds light on the paint’s edges, so the painting never looks exactly the same twice.
