Information about commissioned works

Collaboration rules — from the brief and concept through payment and delivery.

Purchase after consultationThe website accepts non-binding enquiries. Availability and purchase terms are confirmed individually in writing.

1. Nature and subject of the work

A photograph, memory or description is a starting point. The result is TEALDOT’s artistic interpretation, not a promise of a photographic copy.

An individual, couple or family portrait; a pet portrait or a person with their pet; an important place or memory; an emotional landscape; space, night or nature; an abstraction for an interior; a reinterpretation of a TEALDOT work; or another subject accepted by the artist.

2. Format, technique, price and timing

Standard format: 80 × 120 cm or 120 × 80 cm. Oil paint, thick impasto on canvas, finished sides and hanging hardware. Price: PLN 8,000 gross. Other solutions are quoted individually.

Painting time: up to 30 calendar days after concept approval, receipt of all materials and the deposit. Time awaiting the client’s response is excluded. This is not the dispatch deadline. Dispatch timing: the expected date is agreed in the written offer before the commission is accepted, allowing for the impasto to dry. Dispatch follows once the work is safe to transport, approved and fully paid for. Any change to the date is agreed with the client.

3. Commission process

  • The Customer selects brief contact or a detailed brief and may provide reference photographs.
  • One free initial consultation takes place. The artist confirms feasibility, subject, format, price, timing, delivery and the extent of artistic freedom.
  • The Customer receives a written offer and pays a 50% deposit after accepting it.
  • The artist presents a concept description, compositional direction and colour palette or moodboard.
  • The Customer may use up to two concept revision rounds. One round is one consolidated set of comments delivered within 7 days. No response pauses the deadline and does not constitute approval.
  • Painting begins after concept approval. The fundamental composition cannot then be changed.
  • The Customer receives photographs after completion. One minor adjustment is possible if it does not compromise the style, composition or impasto technique.
  • After final approval, the Customer pays the remaining 50% and the work is prepared for delivery.

4. Deposit and cancellation

The deposit is 50% of the price and the remaining 50% is due after completion and before delivery.

Before concept approval, actual work and documented costs are settled and the unused deposit balance is returned.

After concept approval but before painting, the Seller may deduct the concept, consultations, preparation and costs and refund the balance.

After approval and the start of painting, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply where the personalisation exclusion applies. Cancellation is settled proportionally; the entire deposit may be retained only where justified by actual work and costs.

If the Seller cannot complete the work for reasons attributable to the Seller, the deposit is refunded unless the parties lawfully agree otherwise. Complaint rights remain available.

5. Consultations and revisions

The package includes one free initial consultation, a concept description and colour palette, and up to two concept revision rounds before painting. One round is one consolidated set of comments.

After concept approval and the start of painting, the fundamental composition cannot be changed. Changes requiring substantial reworking are quoted separately and may alter the completion date.

After presentation of the finished work, the Customer may request one minor adjustment where technologically possible and consistent with the artist’s style, approved composition and impasto structure.

Remedying a lack of conformity with the contract or approved specification is not a paid revision and does not reduce the agreed revision limit.

6. Materials and portfolio

The Customer confirms the legal right to provide all materials. A reference photograph is not published without separate consent.

Separate voluntary consents cover the finished work, reference photograph, likeness, Customer’s name and story. Refusal does not affect price, acceptance, performance or approval. Consent may be withdrawn for the future. A child’s likeness requires a legal representative’s consent.

7. Artistic result

Handwork, impasto and style naturally create differences from visualisations, photographs and earlier works. A reinterpretation is not an identical copy.

The offer identifies mandatory elements and matters left to the artist. Artistic freedom does not excuse departure from the agreed subject, person, colour direction, format or other agreed features.

8. Delivery and music

Delivery of a standard format within Poland costs PLN 199 and includes mandatory insurance up to the work’s value. International delivery and other formats are quoted before contracting, including transport, insurance, timing, duties and taxes.

Music: TEALDOT — a track created by TEALDOT using SUNO. Tracks are created using a paid account.

The Buyer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for private playback. Publication or commercial use requires a separate agreement.

9. Individual offer

  • the parties’ details and offer number
